Description
Learning how to
give effective and constructive feedback in a diplomatic but
managerial way is an essential skill of being a manager. And it
forms an essential part of the development process of any individual
in a business environment. This course teaches the basic tools of
effective coaching, in order to ensure that you get the most out of
every interaction with all your colleagues. You are taught specific
techniques as well as being introduced to the fundamentals of the
coaching process.
The course also
gives you essential techniques for giving feedback, which can be
part of a “360° review” process involving an entire company at all
levels, or a one-on-one appraisals interview with the most junior
member of your team. The fundamentals and universal techniques for
giving constructive feedback are applied in numerous practical
exercises.

Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
understand and use the basic techniques of input and output coaching
create a development strategy using the coaching models
give constructive criticism in a sensitive and meaningful way
give negative feedback so as to achieve measurable improvement
understand the importance of listening before giving feedback
agree and action plan in response to feedback
how to deal with disagreements which arise as a consequence of giving feedback
Target
Audience
This course is suitable for all staff, but principally those with management or supervisory functions. The course is focused on appraisals processes, but in arrangement with you, it can be adapted to suit any situation in which the sensitive and effective giving of feedback is essential.
