Managing E-mail and Internet Access
Course
Description
We all rely on e-mail and internet access as a normal part of our
working lives and operational infrastructure. Although the
advantages of electronic media are well known, methods for managing
their use and avoiding abuses are relatively underdeveloped.
Managers are therefore often ill-prepared to deal with issues such
as private use of e-mail, “spam”, pornography,
“flaming”, storage requirements for e-mail and others.
The objective of this course is to provide managers with the
tools they need to manage the use of e-mail and the internet by
their staff. The course
considers different aspects of these media, including security,
human
resource issues and legal requirements. Participants are encouraged
to take a realistic perspective on the use of e-mail and internet in
their
organisations.
