Description
The variety of financial instruments available in the world today
can be overwhelming. Even though most people working in financial
services know the names of bonds, equities, derivatives and other
financial instruments, the precise definitions of these instruments
and the differences between them are often unclear.
The objective of this course is to provide participants with
clear and detailed descriptions of the diverse financial instruments
that are issued, traded and settled in financial services today.
Based on the ISO standard 10962 for the classification of financial
instruments, the course provides detailed descriptions of a wide
range of instruments, including debt instruments, equities,
derivatives, entitlements and investment funds. No prior knowledge
of financial instruments is required.
